High Voltage Electric Boiler

VAPEC was able to complete a comprehensive reconditioning and modernisation of a 15 MW steam boiler plant in the Congo. The high voltage electric boiler had been operating since 1982 and supplied process steam for a brewery. After 30 years the owners decided on a complete overhaul of the boiler and the modernisation of the plant to meet more stringent requirements.

After carrying out a full site inspection, VAPEC presented proposals to bring the reliability, safety, and automation of the boiler up to modern standards and to comply with local regulations. Based on this concept, VAPEC delivered the boiler spare parts, instrumentation, a chemical treatment plant, 15 kV switchgear and a distribution board with control system. Apart from the engineering, VAPEC provided project management and local site management for the entire modernisation project. After carrying out a successful commissioning and training for the new control system, the plant was handed over to the customer's complete satisfaction. Now the electric boiler is supplying the brewery with reliable, economic and carbon-neutral heat again.
