High Voltage Electric Boiler

Since 1984 the nuclear power station in Leibstadt (KKL) has produced approximately one-sixth of Switzerland's power consumption. The power station has an output of approximately 1,275 MW and is equipped with two 13 MW VAPEC high voltage electric boilers. When the turbine is undergoing maintenance the boilers supply steam for various applications.

VAPEC has supported the KKL for several years with the maintenance of the boilers. In addition to manufacturing and supplying original spare parts to meet the high quality specifications of the power station operator, VAPEC carries out scheduled inspections in conjunction with the customer.
